Click here to see some pictures of the matches We entered into League Tennis for the first time in 2006, with an adult mens team competing in the Spring League Division 3. After winning Division 3 in 2007, we were promoted to Division 2. After another two sucessful years the Club took a break in 2010, to concentrate on improving the club facilities. We returned for the 2011 season, again winning Division 3 with no matches lost and only two drawn, so we were promoted to Division 2 again for this season. The matches are doubles and comprise four sets, with teams of four players per club. There are eight matches in this league and all interested players will feature at some stage. First and second teams in each division gain automatic promotion. Our fixtures will be detailed on the website and also will be displayed on the club room notice board. If there are any games where you will not be available, please put your name in the appropriate space. Paul will be attending all the away matches and for the non drivers that are selected he can arrange a lift there and back. Players cannot represent a club if they have already played for a different team in the same league. Teams should arrive ten minutes before the start in order to warm up. Both Club Captains complete and sign the score cards before the home team Captain posts the cards back to the league. |
